Which Pokemon Are Not Transferable Between Pokemon Let’s Go & Pokemon Go?

As it turns out, some Pokemon are not transferable between Pokemon Go and Pokemon Let’s Go. In case you didn’t know, you can indeed transfer Pokemon between these two games, after connecting your Pokemon Go account with Pokemon Let’s Go. We’ve covered it in detail in our How to Connect & Transfer from Pokemon Go guide, if you need instructions. In fact, for Pokemon like Meltan and Melmetal, this is the only way to obtain them. But, sadly, this doesn’t work with all of them.

So, which Pokemon aren’t transferable between Pokemon Go and Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee? Well, first off, the event Pokemon. This means that you can’t transfer any Pikachu or Raichu special hat variants from Go to Let’s Go. And I do mean none of them: the Santa version, the Ash version, the Party Hat version; no special Pikachus or Raichus. Same goes for the Sunglasses variants of Squirtle, Wartortle, and / or Blastoise.

Last, but not least, you can’t transfer mythical Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Let’s Go. Makes sense, because that’d allow many players to have mew right from the get-go. The exception to this rule are Meltan and Melmetal, because, again, you can only get them by transferring back and forth. For more info on that, check out the links provided above. Just an FYI, in your list when you talk about transferring event Pokémon you first say “ Well, first off, the event Pokemon. This means that you can transfer any Pikachu or Raichu special hat variants from Go to Let’s Go”. So you say you CAN and then say you CAN’T after that. Just thought I’d point out that language mistake ; ) another thing that’s funny is that you say you can’t transfer mythical Pokémon and that this makes sense because “
people would be able to have Mew right away. I just thought that was a funny marketing ploy by Nintendo to make people buy the Pokeball plus to get Mew (which you do get immediately at the start basically”. Anyway, thanks! Found what I needed. Was curious about the event Pokémon, so thanks!
