Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee How to Dismount Flying Pokemon

Dismounting flying pokemon in Pokemon Let’s Go can be a bit difficult. When you take a Charizard or another flying type along with you, you’ll mount them and fly on their back. This might stop you from using certain abilities, like the one that allows you to surf across bodies of water, or you might just not like the way it looks. There’s a way to get down from their backs, but it’s not obvious, which is why we’re written a guide on how to dismount flying pokemon in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee.

How to get down from Charizard in Pokemon Let’s Go?

As far as we know, the only way to dismount a flying pokemon is by returning them to the poke ball. There seems to be no way to dismount them and keep them active. This means you’ll have to open up the menu, select party, then choose the pokemon in question and press + to return them to the poke ball. Alternatively, you can selecvt another from your crew to take out of their poke ball and onto the field, which will return the active one to theirs.

This would mean there’s no way to have a flying pokemon as an active traveling companion without riding it. There’s no way you could, say, walk along and have your Charizard fly behind you. If there is, in fact, a way to do this, we haven’t figured it out. If we do, we’ll be sure to update the guide with the info on how to do it. If you’ve discovered another way yourself, please feel free to leave a comment and let us know. We have other guides for the game as well, and you should check them out if you have trouble with stuff like farming berries or raising pokemon.
