How to Beat Elite Four Lance in Pokemon Let’s Go?

To beat Lance of the Elite Four in Pokemon Let’s Go, you’re gonna need a few Pokemon Types to be as efficient as possible. Most of them will be easily taken care of with Electric-type attacks, though. It’s similar with Lorelei, Agatha, and the rest. The first enemy Lance will throw at you is a level 54 Seadra. You’ll get rid of it easily with an Electric-type Pokemon. We used our starter Pikachu and just one-shot the poor sod.

The second enemy is a level 54 Aerodactyl. The best choices against him are either Water or Electric attacks. So, needless to say, our Pikachu took him out in one shot, as well. If you use Eevee, using Buzzy Buzz will do pretty well for you here, as well as in the previous battle. Or, you know, a Jolteon or whatever you have that does Electric damage.

The third Pokemon of Lance’s that you’ll fight is a level 54 Gyarados. It has several weaknesses, but he’s four times as weak to Electric-type attacks. Use your Pikachu, or Jolteon, or whatever. This will bring the Gyarados down scarily fast. Once again, we used Pikachu with somewhat frightening efficiency.

The fourth monster that Lance has up his sleeve is a level 54 Charizard. The Charizard is weak to Electricity or Water, so you could ostensibly use the Electric type you’ve been using until now (we sure did). However, this Charizard is especially weak to Rock attacks, so, if you have a Pokemon in your party that does Rock damage, swap them in.

Last, but certainly not least, Lance will throw a level 55 Dragonite at you. Here, Electric attacks won’t do you any good. Swap in whatever Pokemon you have that does Ice Damage. As it turns out, this Dragonite is ridiculously weak to Ice. So, for this portion of the fight, I highly recommend either a Lapras or Articuno. This will also save your bacon against the Alola Exeggutor Lance pulls out if you play a rematch against him.
