Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee How to Beat Bruno
Bruno is the second Elite Four boss in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee. He specializes in Fighting Pokemon, with one or two surprises thrown in, just so you don’t get too comfortable. Since Bruno has a fairly specific specialty, you can defeat him with just two or three different Pokemon. However, that might end up being easier said than done. Since the battle against Bruno can get a little hairy, here’s our Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee How to Beat Bruno guide to hopefully help you out.
How to Beat Elite Four Bruno in Pokemon Let’s Go?
To beat Bruno, the second of the Elite Four in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee, you should stock up on Flying and/or Psychic Pokemon. This is because Bruno specializes in Fighting Pokemon, aside from Onix, and Poliwrath, to a degree, since Poliwrath is Psychic/Fighting. Unlike with Lorelei, your starter Pokemon aren’t really gonna do you much good against Bruno, sadly.
The first Pokemon Bruno will throw at you will be a level 52 Onix. It’s four times as weak to Grass and Water attacks. So, you can easily get rid of it using something like a Lapras or Venosaur or Blastoise (that’s what we used). From here, you want to switch out to a Psychic Pokemon (like Gengar or Alakzam), or at least a Flying Pokemon.
The second and third Pokemon Bruno has are a level 52 Hitmonchan and a level 52 Hitmonlee. Both of them are vulnerable to Psychic attacks and Flying attacks, so use what you’ve got. Psychic attacks are strongly recommended, though; however, which Pokemon you’ll use depends on what you’ve got in your party.
The fourth Pokemon will be a level 52 Poliwrath (it can be third Pokemon, too, with Hitmonlee appearing fourth). Once again, a Psychic or Flying Pokemon will do just fine here. Alternatively, you can use a Grass or Electric-type for better results. That said, a Psychic or Flying Pokemon should do the job. Just remember to keep healing.
The last enemy Bruno has for you is a level 53 Machamp. If you’ve switched away from Psychic or Flying Pokemon, it’s time to switch them back in and finish this battle off. If your Psychic / Flying Pokemon has a good amount of speed, that’ll help a lot. That’ll be the end of it. If you opt for a rematch with Bruno, he’ll also break out a level 62 Alola Golem. It’s really powerful, but pitifully weak against Ground attacks, so that’s what you should exploit at all costs.
