How to Get Heart Scale in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee?

To get the Heart Scale item in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee, you first have to go to Cerulean City. It’s in the top of the map, to the right of Mt Moon (where you can get the Helix Fossil and Dome Fossil). Once in Cerulean City, look for the Bike Maniac near the city entrance. This place has a couple of bikes to the left of his building; plus, the sign above has a bike wheel on it. You also have a sign left of the door that reads “Home of the Bike Maniac” if you interact with it.

Go inside, and ask the guy about all three different types of bikes. You do so by interacting with each of the three types of bikes – red, blue, and green. When he asks if you wnat to know more about each type, say Yes. He’ll then give you five Heart Scales.

If you go to the right of the Bike Maniac, you’ll come across a fountain. If you inspect it, you’ll have the option to throw in either 50 or 500 coins inside. We threw in fifty, for example. After that, you have to play with your Pokemon, and you’ll get one Heart Scale. We weren’t able to throw money in the fountain twice to check what happens when you give 500, but we’ll update this guide in case we find out something more.

Where to use Heart Scales

If you don’t know what to do with Heart Scales in Pokemon Let’s Go our advice is – don’t sell them! Once you collect all Gym Badges head to the Indigo Plateau. In the Pokemon Center talk to the lady to your right. She will offer you to remind your Pokemon of a move in exchange for a Heart Scale.

That’s it for our Heart Scale guide for Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee. If we find out more, we’ll be sure to update the guide. In the meantime, you can browse our other Pokemon Let’s Go guides, including Poke Ball Plus Battery Life, How it Works & Cost and How to Evolve Meltan into Melmetal.

apparently putting $500 in the fountain either gives you a tiny mushroom or marble. i couldn’t personally do the 500 because i have already put my 50.

Yah i did the 500 and it also tells u that u got an extreme bond with ur pokemon now. I think it happens from the 50 as well but not as strong of a bond. Thats y its better to do the 500

Heart Scales are an early addition to Pokemon games and have always been the item you use to pay the “Move Tutor” or Tutors. In the case of Let’s Go:E/P they are to be given to the Move Tutor at the Indigo Plateau and in exchange he will teach 1 Pokemon a move they could have learned naturally, including those they haven’t yet learned at higher levels. So if you had a Pokemon forget a move that doesn’t have a TM or if the move is learnt at level 1 (making it impossible for some Pokemon to ever learn the move without the Move Tutor) you can “relearn” the move there.

You can occasionally find Heart Scales the same way you find other random items and sometimes Pikachu (and probably Eevee) will give you one as a present.

I’m not sure exactly what putting money in the fountain does but you don’t need to put any in to find a Heart Scale.
