Tumblestones are all over the map. They appear as red crystals with a squared shape. Once you see them, you need to throw a Pokeball at the crystal. Your Pokemon will jump out, you get the Tumblestone, and the Pokemon returns. It will automatically get added to your bag, so you don’t need to collect it afterward. Tumblestone is also one of the materials that you can buy from Jubilife Village in the Craftworks Station.

Once you have a Tumblestone and an Apricorn you can start making Pokeballs. After you finish the Galaxy Team’s Entry Trial you will get a mission that teaches the basics of crafting. Cyllene will also provide you with a Pokeball recipe at this point.

After this, you need to find a crafting bench. They reside in Jubilife Village in the Craftworks, or at one of the base camps. When interacting, the list of available recipes should appear. You select the one you want; press A and they are made.
