Pokemon GO Three Community Day Dates Revealed

Community Days in Pokemon GO have been pretty popular among the trainers. The more frequent events keep things somewhat fresh and interesting in between the bigger hitters, such as the seasonal events. And, Niantic has now decided to announce the dates of three upcoming Community Days on the Pokemon GO website. The first one is going to take place on Saturday, September 22nd, the second on Sunday, October 21st, and the third on Saturday, November 10th. Niantic hasn’t released any further details on the latter two events, such as which Pokemon they will center on etc. We’ll have to wait for those to come out.

As for the September Community day, we have all the details. The Pokemon it will focus on will be Chikorita, the Grass Pokemon from the Johto region. The event will last for three hours, as usual. The times are as follows: from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. JST for Asia-Pacific, 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. UTC for Europe, India, the Middle East and Africa, and lastly, 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. PDT for the Americas and Greenland. As is usual for the Community Day events, you’ll earn three times the Catch XP while the event lasts.

Of course, one of the biggest draws to the Community Days are the new moves that the highlighted Pokemon can learn during the event. Naturally, the Chikorita event will be no different. In fact, if you evolve a Baileef into Meganium in the three-hour window, it can learn a special move. Which one, we don’t know yet. Most importantly, only a “Meganium caught or evolved during Community Day” will have access to this special move, so keep that in mind.
