Pokemon GO Spinarak Spotlight Hour

The Spinarak Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO is going to happen on Tuesday, June 21st 2022 between 6 PM local server time and 7 PM local server time. In that window of time, the spider Pokemon will be spawning more often, mostly in the wild. This includes the shiny version of Spinarak, but more on that in the next section. The event bonus this time around will be double evolution XP, meaning you’ll earn twice the XP every time you evolve a Pokemon. It doesn’t matter whether it’s Spinarak or not; evolving any Pokemon at all should grant you the extra experience. That’s something you should definitely make the most of.

Can Spinarak Be Shiny?

Yes, Spinarak can be shiny in Pokemon GO, and the June 2022 Spotlight Hour will be the perfect opportunity to find and catch a couple. Maybe even evolve at least one of your shiny spiders into Arlados. After all, the event bonus is double evolution XP, as we’ve said; might as well make the most of it. A regular Spinarak looks like the image above; green body, yellow legs, red pincers. The shiny version has a blue body, pink legs and pink pincers. Those are the differences to look out for. As for the shiny Arlados, it is purple instead of red, as you’ll see if you go through with the evolution process.
