Pokemon GO Wooper Spotlight Hour

The Wooper Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO will begin on December 6th, and during the event, the starring Pokemon will spawn way more often, increasing your odds of catching a shiny. More on that in the next section. As is always the case with Spotlight Hours, this one will begin at 6 PM local server time. It will wrap up an hour later, at 7 PM. Naturally, there’s also the event bonus. This week, you can look forward to double catch Stardust. Not exactly my favorite, but hey, it is what it is. Wooper is not really the most useful Pokemon, now that I think about it. Really, the only drive is nabbing a shiny Wooper if you don’t have one already. That brings us to our next point…

Can Wooper be Shiny?

Yes, Wooper can be shiny in Pokemon GO, so be sure to participate in the Spotlight Hour if you haven’t got one yet. Before you ask, Quagsire can also be shiny, so it’s also worth evolving a shiny Wooper. With that said, how do you tell it apart from the regular version of the Pokemon? It’s really easy, actually. The shiny Wooper is a pastel pink instead of blue. Yeah, you can’t miss them. Now, the event bonus is double catch Stardust, which isn’t that exciting. But, if you’re going to be gunning for a special Wooper, it’s nice that you’ll get something extra for your troubles.
