Pokemon GO Spheal Community Day 2022 Release Date and Time

The Spheal January 2022 Pokemon GO Community Day release date and time will be Saturday, January 16th, from 11 AM to 5 PM local time. During this window of time, Spheal will spawn more often in the wild, as is always the case. On top of that, if you manage to evolve a Spheal into a Sealeo and then a Walrein, that Walrein will know the Powder Snow Fast Attack and the Icicle Spear Charged Attack. Of course, you have to pull that evolution off during the event or at most two hours after it ends. As for the Community Day bonuses, they will be triple XP for catching Pokemon and Incenses and Lures will last for three hours. Don’t forget to take some snapshots for extra encounters.

Can Spheal be Shiny?

Yes, Spheal can be Shiny in the January 2022 Pokemon GO Community Day (and in general too, of course). So, while the event is going on, you’ll have a good chance to encounter one of them. It’s not a guarantee, of course, it never is; however, there’s no better time to go Shiny-hunting than Community Days. The difference is that regular Spheals are blue, while the rarer version is more pinkish-purple.

Last, and definitely least, the event will offer a Research Story called The Spheal Deal. Because Niantic is hell-bent on nickel-and-diming the player base to death, you’ll have to pay a buck or your local equivalent to access it. Oh, and a special bundle containing useful items will be available in the store.
