Can Solgaleo and Lunala be Shiny in Pokemon GO 2022

No, neither Solgaleo nor Lunala can be shiny in Pokemon GO in 2022. Yes, I know, it’s a bummer. But then again, considering that the only way to get either of them is to evolve the one Cosmoem you have. That’s assuming you even evolved your one Cosmog. If you want to know how to do that, check out our Pokemon GO Cosmog Evolution into Cosmoem guide. And, considering the fact that Cosmog can’t be shiny, that also means that none of its evolutions have special versions. Maybe some day Niantic are going to add the shiny variants of Solgaleo or Lunala, who knows? It has happened before. At time of writing, though, that’s sadly not the case.

And there you have it, that’s all we have to say on the subject of shiny Solgaleo and Lunala in Pokemon GO in 2022. If you’re struggling with which of the two Pokemon to choose, check out our Pokemon GO Solgaleo or Lunala Choice guide. However, you should be aware that neither of them are really that good. They seem just kinda unfinished, like the developers didn’t really know what to do with them. You’d think these incarnations of the Sun and the Moon would be fearsome creatures, but they’re really not. By the way, in order to evolve these two, you need to give your Cosmoem one hundred Cosmog Candy. If you do it during the day, you get Solgaleo. Do it at night, you get Lunala.
