Naturally, these are very rare, as are all other shiny Pokemon. Luckily for all of you that are on the hunt for a shiny Poliwag, there’s a Community Day coming soon (on July 30th, to be exact). For the duration of the event (aka from 2 PM to 5 PM local time), Poliwag will spawn more often in the wild. Therefore, your odds of encountering a shiny will be that much higher. The difference is that is that the shiny Poliwag is a few shades of blue lighter than the normal one.
