Pokemon GO Misdreavus Spotlight Hour

The Pokemon GO Misdreavus Spotlight Hour will begin on Tuesday, October 18th at 6 PM local time, and during it, regular and shiny Misdreavus will be appearing more often in wild encounters. You’ll also get to enjoy the double catch XP bonus while the event lasts. Keep in mind that you’ll get twice the XP for every Pokemon you catch, not just Misdreavus. The Spotlight Hour is going to wrap up at 7 PM local server time. That should be plenty of time to farm some Misdreavus, regular or shiny. Maybe even evolve the shiny Misdreavus, if you’re really lucky and diligent. That brings us to our next point.

Can Misdreavus be Shiny?

Yes, Misdreavus can be shiny in Pokemon GO, so if you want one or more, then the Spotlight Hour will be a great hunting opportunity. You can tell a special Misdreavus apart from a regular one very easily. The normal version is a dark shade of teal, as you can see in the image above. As for the shiny variant, it’s a swampy, snot-like yellowish-green. You absolutely can’t miss it. By the way, shiny Mismagius, the evolution of Misdreavus, is also the same revolting color. If you want to evolve Misdreavus, you have to have a hundred Candies and a Sinnoh Stone. So, yeah, bottom line: recognizing a shiny Misdreavus should be a piece of cake, and they will be spawning more often during the Spotlight Hour.
