Pokemon GO Aron Spotlight Hour

The Pokemon GO Aron Spotlight Hour, which will feature a higher spawn rate of shiny Aron among other things, begins on Tuesday, September 20th. It will begin at 6 PM local server time, and end an hour later, at 7 PM. As is always the case, during this window of time, you’ll be seeing Aron in the wild much more often than usual, including its shiny version. On top of that, there’s always the event bonus. In this case, it’s going to be double Catch Candy. This means that you’ll get twice the Candy for every Pokemon you catch. This should be true of any Pokemon, not just Aron. However, considering that Aron has four evolutions, probably best to focus on it.

Can Aron be Shiny?

Yes, Aron can be shiny in Pokemon GO, and therefore the Spotlight Hour will be a great chance to stock up on them. Naturally, Aron’s evolutions (Lairon, Aggron and Mega Aggron) also have their shiny variants. So, if you want to have a special version of every step of the evolution chain, that’s at least four shiny Arons. I don’t necessarily recommend going this route, but I know some of you are Pokedex completionists. Be that as it may, how do you tell a normal Aron apart from the regular one? The answer is eye color. The regular Aron has bright, blue eyes, while the shiny has very red eyes. So, unless you have trouble seeing colors, it shouldn’t be too difficult to notice this difference.
