Pokemon GO Seel Spotlight Hour

The May 2022 Pokemon GO Seel Spotlight Hour event will take place on Tuesday, May 24th, between 6 PM and 7 PM local server time. Nothing new there. During the hour, Seel is going to spawn much more often in the wild and in general, including its shiny version (more on that in the following section). As for the event bonus, it’s double Stardust for catching Pokemon. Of course, that goes for all Pokemon, not just Seel. So, if you’re lacking Stardust, this will be a great chance to replenish your stock. And, don’t forget that shiny Seel is going to be spawning at a higher rate than usual, which brings us to our next point…

Can Seel Be Shiny?

Yes, Seel can be shiny in Pokemon GO, and so the May 2022 Spotlight Hour will be a great opportunity to catch one (or more, if you’re lucky). A shiny Seel is very easy to tell apart from the regular version, which should make the process a bit easier. While the coat of a “normal” Seel is a blueish, almost icy white, the shiny variant is very much beige. It makes it extra cute, because the fur of real-life baby seals is often the same color. And, of course, you can evolve a shiny Seel into a shiny Dewgong of the same hue. And that’s basically all the info you’ll need for this event. Next week, the featured Pokemon should be Pikipek.
