Pokemon Go Season of Discovery

Season of Discovery is the new season coming to Pokemon Go, and it’s going to bring a whole bunch of new content with it. That includes new events and new Pokemon, as well as the new research project. There will be a ton of stuff for people all across the globe to enjoy, some of it exclusive to specific regions. We’ll lay out all we know so far in our Pokemon Go Season of Discovery guide.

Season of Discovery Start Date & Other Details

The Season of Discovery start date is June 1st; that’s where it all kicks off from. The season is slated to last for three months, throughout the whole summer, meaning that it should wrap up at some point on August 31st. Then, on September 1st, a new season is going to begin, bringing with it its own set of surprises and new content.

One of the new things to look forward to in Pokemon Go Season of Discovery is the research project. I doubt that it’ll work that differently from this season’s project, mechanics-wise. Also, I assume that it will last approximately the same time, meaning that you should be able to wrap it up near the end of the season. We’ll have to wait and see.

There’s also the matter of Pokemon Go Fest 2021. It will take place from July 17th to 18th, and tickets are already up for sale. This one will be another virtual happening that players all over the globe will have the chance to participate in. Last, but not least, you can look forward to the upcoming Season 8 Battle League.

New Pokemon Spawns & Egg Hatches from Pokemon Go Season of Discovery

There are a number of new Pokemon spawns and egg hatches that you can look forward to in Season of Discovery. Some of them will only appear in the northern hemisphere, and others only in the global south. Moreover, there will be new Pokemon that you’ll be able to hatch from the various Eggs that are now in the game. Below, you’ll find a list of the new monsters, as complete as it can be at the moment.
