Pokemon GO Ralts Spotlight Hour

The Ralts Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour is going to take place on Tuesday, September 13th. It’s going to begin at 6 PM local server time, and end an hour later, at 7 PM local time. During that hour, Ralts is going to be spawning much more often than usual, and yes, that includes the shiny variant (more on that in the next section). Also, as long as the event lasts, you’ll get twice the XP for catching Pokemon. The bonus should apply to any Pokemon you manage to catch, not just Ralts. That’s basically all the most important information you need to know. Yes, I do always go into a lot of detail here, but that’s because this might be somebody’s first Spotlight Hour.

Can Ralts Be Shiny?

Yes, Ralts can absolutely be shiny in Pokemon GO, and the Spotlight Hour event is going to be a great chance to stock up on them. Considering that Ralts has two final evolutions (Gallade and Gardevoir), if you want to have all the available shiny variants, you’ll need to have several different shiny Raltseseses. They’re not too difficult to tell apart from the regular version, since their hat is bright blue instead of green. Incidentally, you need a male Ralts to evolve a Gallade, plus a Sinnoh Stone. We break the process down in detail in our How to Get Gallade in Pokemon GO guide. Anyway, go and hunt down every shiny Ralts you encounter during the event. The extra catch XP should work as an extra incentive.
