How to Join Party in Pokemon GO?
In order to join a party, you must first open Pokemon GO and get straight to your Trainer Profile. The next step is to tap on the New Party tab so that you can join a party. You will be asked to scan the QR code of the host or to enter a numerical code manually. Lastly, you will need to wait for the host to set things up, and the party can begin. When it starts, you will be returned to the map.
How to Host a Party?
To host a party, the first thing to do besides opening Pokemon GO, is to navigate to your Trainer Profile. Now, open the Party tab and click Create. You will be given the option to share a numerical code, or QR code, with up to three nearby trainers. The final step is to press Start and the party is set to begin!
Pokemon GO Party Play Tab Missing Issue
Many players have reported a problem with the Party Play tab not appearing in their game. For some, the solution to this is to close the game, restart it, and then the party option will appear. Now, keep in mind this will work only for some. The other potential fix is related to Niantic Kids Accounts. As Reddit user NexceveN said, you can manually enable the missing party tab for child accounts. To do this, follow these steps:
- Log in to a parent account.
- Select a child’s account from the menu.
- Head to the Pokemon GO Settings.
- Open Permissions for your Child.
- Check “Party Play” and save before you exit.
When you restart the Pokemon GO app, the Party Tab should be visible. The final thing to note here is that the child will only be able to participate in a party if the host is on their friend list. With that said, our guide is complete! Good luck and have fun playing with your friends!
