Pokemon GO Mysterious Masks Research Tasks & Rewards
The Pokemon GO Mysterious Masks Research tasks and rewards are now available for you to complete and get all sorts of interesting stuff. And Pokemon encounters, of course. Plus, these are free, you don’t have to buy a ticket to participate. So, with that said, let’s dive into the Mysterious Masks Research tasks and rewards.
Pokemon GO Mysterious Masks Research Tasks and Rewards
There are four steps in the Pokemon GO Mysterious Masks research tasks, each of which has three sub-steps, and you get rewards for completing each of them. By that, I mean every sub-step has a reward of its own, and then you get even more stuff for each “page” of tasks you complete. Among other things, there are going to be many encounters with both regular and Galarian Yamask. They are really going all in on Yamask this season; there’s even a completely separate set of Yamask Timed Research. But, I digress. Here’s a list of the Mysterious Masks research tasks and what you get for each of them.

- Catch 40 Ghost-type Pokemon – Stardust x1313
- Make 9 Curveball Throws – Encounter with Yamask
- Make 49 Nice Throws – Ultra Ball ×9
- Rewards for completing all steps – 4900 XP, Stardust x490, encounter with Galarian Yamask
- Step 2
- Catch 40 Ghost-type Pokemon – Stardust x1313
- Earn 9 hearts with your buddy – Encounter with Yamask
- Send 13 Gifts to friends – Great Ball ×40
- Rewards for completing all steps – 4900 XP, Stardust x490, encounter with Galarian Yamask
- Step 3
- Catch 40 Ghost-type Pokemon – Stardust x1313
- Catch 9 different species of Ghost-type Pokemon – Encounter with Yamask
- Use 49 Berries to help catch Pokemon – Poke Ball ×49
- Rewards for completing all steps – 4900 XP, Stardust x490, encounter with Galarian Yamask
- Step 4
- Claim reward – 49 XP
- Claim reward – 490 XP
- Claim reward – 4900 XP
- Rewards for completing all steps – 49 Yamask Candy, Stardust x490, encounter with Galarian Yamask
