Haunter Spotlight Hour Pokemon GO

The Pokemon GO Haunter Spotlight Hour event is going to kick off on Tuesday, October 11th, at 6 PM local server time. As the name implies, it will wrap up an hour later, at 7 PM local time. Over the course of this hour, Haunter is going to be spawning more often in the wild, so that you can theoretically farm a whole bunch of them. Plus, every one of these mini-events has a bonus. This week, it’s going to be double catch Stardust, meaning that you get twice the Stardust for every Pokemon you catch. Now, most of you participate in Spotlight Hours because there’s a higher chance of getting your hands on at least one shiny. However, that might not work this time. That brings us to our next point…

Can You Catch Shiny Haunter in Pokemon GO

No, you cannot catch a shiny Haunter in Pokemon GO, so don’t expect to find one in the Spotlight Hour. However, as we’ve explained in our Shiny Haunter in Pokemon GO 2022 guide, there is a way to get one. namely, you have to get a shiny Gastly and then evolve it. So, if you have one, it’s still worthwhile to go out and catch some Haunters. You can then mill them (sorry, send them to professor Willow) and obtain Candies for evolution purposes. Plus, the double catch Stardust is not bad, either. But, yeah, forget about capturing a shiny Haunter in the wild, even if it is a Spotlight Hour.
