How to Get Mothim Pokemon GO 2023
Mothim is a Bug / Flying dual-type Pokemon. Also known as the Moth Pokemon, like many other popular Pokemon, it has also been added to Pokemon GO. However, getting Mothim is not as simple as it is with most other Pokemon. This is because you do not catch it, but do something else in order to obtain it. In this guide, we’re going to go over the exact method on how to get Mothim in Pokemon GO in 2023.
How to Get Mothim in Pokemon GO 2023
You can’t catch Mothim in Pokemon GO. Instead, what you need to do is to first get a Burmy. And not just any Burmy, but you specifically need a male one. If you get a female Burmy, it will instead evolve into Wormadam. Once you have gotten a male Burmy, the next step is to then feed it 50 Candy. After this, it will then evolve into Mothim. Luckily, you will be able to do exactly this in the ongoing Festival of Colors event.
The Festival of Colors is scheduled to start this Wednesday, March 8th, 2023, at 10 AM your Local Time and last until Tuesday, March 14th, 2023, at 8 PM your Local Time. For the duration of this event, Burmy (of all three types – Plant, Sandy, and Trash) are going to spawn much more frequently in the wild. This will give you an excellent chance to get a Burmy that you can then evolve into Mothim. But don’t forget that you need to get a male Burmy for this. Even better, once you collect the following Pokemon: Koffing, Stunky, Wobbuffet, Shuckle, Paras, Bruxish, Natu, Krabby, Burmy (Plant), Burmy (Sandy), Burmy (Trash), and Mothim (via evolution), you will then get x20,000 XP and x1 Lure Module as a reward. Make sure that you do this before the event ends.
