Errors & Problems with Pokemon GO Plus
Pokemon GO and Pokemon GO Plus are not without their problems. This errors and problems guide will show you a list of Pokemon Go Plus errors, known issues with the device, how to fix or avoid them.
Since the release of the update for Pokemon GO (1.13.3 for iOS and 0.43.3 for Android), the game and the Go Plus device cannot communicate. Niantic posted on their support page that the trainers may experience issues with Pokémon GO Plus.
Disconnect the Pokemon Go Plus Go to the the PoGO Plus menu Untick the “Nearby Pokemon” and “Nearby Pokestop” options Close the Pokemon GO Reopen the Pokemon GO Go to the PoGO Plus menu and tick the “Nearby Pokemon” and “Nearby Pokestop” options Connect the PoGO Plus to your phone
On the Go Plus, hold the button for 5 seconds until it lights up blue. Release the button. While still in blue, instantly hold the button again for another 5 seconds until it vibrates (factory reset). Open the Pokemon Go app and go to the map view. Go to the settings (Poke Ball > Settings > Pokemon Go Plus). Tap the button on the Pokemon Go+ accessory and it should start blinking white. In the app, tap on “Pokemon Go Plus” when it appears under Available devices.
Turn off WiFi on your phone Disable WiFi Scanning and Bluetooth Scanning (Settings > Location > Three dots in the upper right > Scanning > Deselect both Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth scanning) Restart your phone Open the Pokemon Go app, and go to Settings > Pokemon GO Plus Place the PoGo Plus 6 feet (2 meters) from your phone. Press the button on your PoGo Plus and it should appear in the menu. Tap on it. On the map screen, if the Go+ icon is grayed out, click it again. Your Go+ should successfully connect.
