Choose a Path in Winter Wishes Pokemon GO, Catching Pokemon or Collecting Stardust Choice

In the Winter Wishes event-exclusive Timed Research, a part of the Pokemon GO 2023 winter holiday event, lets you choose between two paths: catching Pokemon or collecting Stardust. The only real difference is whether you’ll be getting double XP or double Stardust, respectively. The tasks and rewards are exactly the same otherwise, with the exception of the final prize. Those that go with Catching Pokemon will get a Lucky Egg, and the Stardust people will get a Star Piece. Just for the sake of reference, here are both lists.

  • Catch 10 Pokemon – Encounter with Holiday Spheal
  • Catch 25 Pokemon – Encounter with Holiday Hat Eevee
  • Catch 40 Ice-type Pokemon – Lapras
  • Catch 8 different species of Ice-type Pokemon – Holiday Stantler
  • Earn 7,500 Stardust – Cetoddle
  • Send 25 Gifts to friends – Holiday Attire Pikachu
  • Rewards for completing every step – Encounter with Galarian Mr. Mime, 1x Star Piece
• Catching Pokemon Path
  • Catch 10 Pokemon – Encounter with Holiday Spheal
  • Catch 25 Pokemon – Encounter with Holiday Hat Eevee
  • Catch 40 Ice-type Pokemon – Lapras
