Pokemon GO Cherrim Spotlight Hour

The Pokemon GO Cherrim Spotlight Hour event takes place on Tuesday, April 26th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time. Most people already know this, but it bears repeating just in case. During the event, the Sunshine or Sunny form of Cherrim is going to be spawning more often, including its shiny variant (we’ll get more into that in the next section). Every Spotlight Hour has an extra bonus, and this one in no exception. While the event lasts, you will get double Catch XP, meaning you’ll get twice the XP for catching Pokemon. It’s a great incentive to capture as many Pokemon as you can. Those are the most important, general details to know.

Can Cherrim Be Shiny?

Yes, all forms of Cherrim can be shiny in Pokemon GO, including the Sunshine Form, so the April 2022 Spotlight Hour is going to be a great time to grab one. Ideally, way more than one, of course. While you’re on the hunt, you’re gonna have to keep your eyes really peeled. The shiny variant of Sunshine Cherrim looks very similar to the regular version; the differences are just in the shades of pink and yellow. So, I’d wager it’s best to just catch every single Cherrim you come across during the Spotlight Hour and then sort them all out after it’s all over. Besides, you want to make the most from that double Catch XP bonus.
