How to Catch Shiny Palkia in Pokemon GO

To catch a shiny Palkia in Pokemon GO, as is usually the case with extremely powerful Pokemon, you will have to wait until it starts appearing in Raids. As a general rule, you’ll find it in five-star Raids, which only makes sense considering how strong it is. Luckily for you, Palkia will be returning to these activities on July 31st, 2022 and will remain until August 10th, 2022. Not the widest window in the world, but it should be enough if you put your back into it. Just be ready for a grueling fight, because this Water/Dragon Pokemon will not go down easily. You can use our Palkia Counters, Weakness & Best Moveset to help you prepare. I wish you the best of luck.

Speaking of preparing and luck, there’s one more thing to know when it comes to how to catch a shiny Palkia in Pokemon GO: like all shiny Pokemon, it’s exceedingly rare. So, not only are they difficult to beat, but you’ll probably have to do quite a bit of searching until you find the one you’re after. At the very least, the shiny version is sorta easy to tell apart from the regular one, on the count of it being a light pink, Pepto Bismol color. You can see what it looks like in the picture above, if you need a reference. Oh, and lest I forget, there will also be a Palkia Raid Hour on August 3rd from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, so be sure to make the most of it.
