Where to Find the Master Ball in Pokemon BDSP

The Master Ball will only be available to you when you are almost at the end of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. As the ultimate Pokeball, this makes sense. Many rare Pokemon are only accessible after you have completed the game, so it is useful to have the Master Ball for these encounters.

When you travel to the seventh gym leader, you will have an encounter with Team Galactic. This will be on Lake Acuity. You then have to trail them all the way back to Veilstone City where their base of operations resides. Travel to the middle of the HQ then defeat their leader.

For this, he will gift you the Master Ball. This means you will have it for the battle against the final gym leader in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. You can either go off and catch a rare Pokemon with it or wait until you finish the game to unlock the rare ones.

Remember, any Pokemon that has a Master Ball thrown at it will get caught. Wondering what Pokemon you can get post-game? Check out all our guides in the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl section.
