How to Get Fossil Pokemon in in Grand Underground in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
To get these Fossil Pokemon, you will need to dig them up in the Grand Underground. When you go there, you will see little yellow twinkles. These mark the places where you will be able to dig. This then begins a mini-game in which you dig around for treasures. Whenever you successfully complete a dig, you will get a chance to receive a Fossil. The type of Fossil you will get depends on your game. The Skull Fossil is available only in Brilliant Diamond, while the Armor Fossil is exclusive to Shining Pearl. Which one you get will determine which Pokemon you will be able to revive.
How to Revive Fossil Pokemon in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
Once you have your Fossil, go to Oreburgh. There is a Mining Museum there, so enter that building. You will see a man at the counter. Approach and talk with him. He will ask you if you have any Pokemon Fossils on you, and whether or not you want to turn this into a real, living Pokemon. If you answer yes, he will take your Fossil and tell you to go away and come back later. All you need to do is to leave the building and immediately re-enter. He will then present you with your newly-revived Pokemon. Depending on which Fossil you gave him, you will get one of two Pokemon. If you gave him the Skull Fossil, you will get the Cranidos. And if you present him with the Armor Fossil, you will get Shieldon, instead. Once you have obtained the National Dex, other Fossils will start appearing, such as the Dome, Helix, Old, Claw, and Root Fossils, which can be revived into Omanyte, Lileep, Anorith, Kabuto, and Aerodactyl.
the other fossils don’t need the national dex, you can find them right after you’ve done dialga/palkia
Say you have a skull fossil transfered over from another account, when’s the earliest you can revive that fossil.
