Get Happiny & Evolve Into Chansey and Blissey Pokemon BDSP
To get Happiny and evolve into Chansey and Blissey in Pokemon BDSP or Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, you’re going to need to go through a number of very specific steps. None of these three Pokemon are easy to get; every one is like a mini-puzzle in and of itself. That’s why we’ve put together this guide, in which we’ll show you where to find and how to get Happiny in BDSP and how to evolve it into Chansey, and then Blissey.
How to Evolve Happiny into Chansey Pokemon BDSP
To evolve Happiny into Chansey in Pokemon BDSP or Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl (and later Blissey), you first need to get it. To do that, head to Hearthome City and go to the lower right part of town, where Route 209 starts. You need to talk to the hiker, but before you do, make sure you have an empty slot in your inventory. After you talk to the hiker (that’s where to find Happiny in BDSP, technically), you’ll get an Egg, which will require a ton of walking to hatch. As we explain in our Hatch the Hearthome City Egg, it’ll take around 10,000 steps or more. Once you hatch Happiny from this egg, give it an Oval Stone to hold and level it up during the daytime. You can do this at any level, there’s no minimum requirement. That’s how you get Chansey.
How to Evolve Chansey into Blissey Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
To evolve Chansey into Blissey in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl or BDSP after you get and evolve Happiny, you just need to hit the maximum friendship level with your Chansey. Check out our Check Friendship Level in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl guide to see how to keep track of the stat. Just give the Pokemon a Soothing Bell and take it out to massages in Veilstone City and walk around with it (more info on that in our How to Walk with Your Pokemon guide), and you’ll hit the max level in next to no time. When you get to that point, the next time your Chansey levels up, it will evolve into Blissey. Again, there’s no minimum level requirement or anything.
