To get Charmander and evolve into Charmeleon & Charizard in Pokemon BDSP or Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, you’re gonna have to complete a large portion of the game before being able to even see the little fiery lizard. Then, it’s just the matter of leveling it up far enough until it becomes the gigantic dragon we all know and love. So, with all that said, let’s get into it.
How to Get Charmander Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
To get Charmander in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl or BDSP and then evolve it into Charmeleon and Charizard, you first need to earn the National Dex and defeat the Elite Four of Sinnoh. Once that’s out of the way, you need to go into one of the Lava Hideaways in the Grand Underground. These include Typhlo Cavern, Volcanic Cave and Sandsear Cave. These are in the northeast of the map, and you can reach them by using the Explorer Kit in the Battle Zone or the Survival Area. From there, head to one of the rooms that’s the color of lava on the map, and see if there’s a Charmander in there. If not, exit the room and come back in again until the little lizard does tn.
How to Evolve Charmander into Charmeleon Pokemon BDSP
To evolve Charmander into Charmeleon in Pokemon BDSP or Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, all you need to do is level it up to 16. That’s it. There are no other conditions that we know of. You don’t have to give it any item, it doesn’t have to be a certain time of day, nor do you need to have a specific friendship level with the critter. Just bring it up to level 16, and you’ll be good to go.
How to Evolve Charmeleon into Charizard Pokemon BDSP
To evolve Charmeleon into Charizard after you get Charmander in Pokemon BDSP or Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, you need to get the Charmeleon up to level 36. However, due to the way that the Pokemon from the Grand Underground scale with your own, you’ll probably have a Charmander that’s way over that level to begin with it. So, basically, just keep leveling the Pokemon until you eventually get to Charizard. There are no other requirements.
