Palworld Update 1.1.2 Lost Progress, Save Not Working on Game Pass
A number of players report their Palworld save is not working after the 1.1.2 update. If you are one of them, you are probably rather frustrated right now. Pocket Pair, the developers behind Palworld, have recently pushed the 0.1.1.2 patch for Xbox consoles and Game Pass on PC. However, it seems that many players have lost their progress following the update. Read on as we explain what we know about this issue.
Palworld Save Not Working After 0.1.1.2 Update, Lost Progress on Xbox Game Pass
When Palworld was launched in early access, Steam and Xbox versions of the game didn’t have parity. That is, the version of the game on Steam was newer compared to the one on Xbox and Game Pass. The developers explained back then that this was happening due to the certification process on consoles. Luckily, the developers are doing their best to deliver the latest versions of the game on both platforms as fast as possible. However, following the Palworld 1.1.2 update on Xbox and Game Pass, a number of players claim that their save files are no longer working. “Just a warning to anyone met with the 1.1.2 update prompt for Palworld. It may brick your save game like it did mine,” says Reddit user 4lteredBeast. And many other players report they have lost their progress in Palworld on Game Pass.
Unfortunately, if this happens to you, there’s not much you can do about it. As you are probably aware, this is not a completed game. Rather, it is an early access title. As such, having your save files incompatible with new versions of the game is a risk that comes as a part of the package. It is unfortunate but not unexpected. Until the developers release a full version of the game, you should consider every new update to be capable of rendering your previous save corrupted. For now, that’s all we can say about the “Palworld lost progress after update” issue. If we learn any new info, we will make sure to update the article!
