Palworld Pals Not Mining Ore Explained
Wondering why are your Pals not mining ore in Palworld? As one of the standard game mechanics in survival crafting games, mining ore will be essential for your progress and the development of your base. However, in Palworld, that’s not something you’ll do on your own. Rather, your Pals will do it for you. However, what should you do if they refuse to work? Here’s what you need to know.
Why Palworld Pals Won’t Mine Ore?
Before we jump to any other solutions in regards to the “Pals not mining” issue, you should know that you need to take care of them. Namely, Pals will stop working in general if their Sanity is suffering. Issues like “Extremely Unhealthy Due to Neglect” or “Eating Disorder Due to Stress” need to be taken care of if you want your Pals to be productive. If there’s any issue regarding their physical and mental well-being, they will stop mining. Or do any other job for that matter.
Another important thing to know is that your Pals need to be at least Level 2 in order to be able to mine. If some of your Pals are not mining, check out their level. In addition, you should generally put Pals that can only mine to do the mining. That’s because they will often prioritize farming and handicrafts on their own. Also, check your Pals often. Pathfinding and AI in this game is still not in good shape. Hence, your Pals will often get stuck or lost somewhere. Especially big and clumsy Pals like Digitise. You will often need to pick them up (F) manually and put them back to mining.
Furthermore, keep in mind that both the ore and Pals must be within your base’s radius and not go outside the perimeter. Hence, if you finding a good mining spot, make sure to set up the second base there properly. Finally, keep in mind that they will prioritize a stone pit first if you have one nearby. Hence, you will need to have at least four or more miners if you want some of them to work on the copper ores.
