No Man’s Sky Planet Name Change

Whenever you discover a planet, it will be added to your journal. You’ll be able to change the name (only once per planet) and upload your discovery for the rest of the world to see. You’ll also receive 2000 Units for each find. Here’s how it works:

  1. Press the Options button.
  2. Go to the Discoveries tab.
  3. Find the desired planet in the list on the left.
  4. Hover over it with the cursor.
  5. Hold triangle.
  6. Enter the name you’d like and press R2.
You won’t be able to change the name again, so choose wisely. There have been talks of naming conventions in various communities, to make planets easier to distinguish at first glance, but pretty much anything flies. Have fun and explore responsibly.
