Nioh 2 Locks of Hair Locations - Samurai, Ninja, Onmyo Mage
Locks of hair are consumable items in Nioh 2. Consuming them awards you with skill points you can use to upgrade your abilities. There are three kinds – samurai’s locks for samurai skills, ninja’s locks for ninja skills and onmyo mage’s locks for magic skills. They can be obtained as mission rewards and random enemy drops, but most maps harbor a few in specific secret locations. If you want to obtain more skill points, this guide will show you all Nioh 2 locks of hair locations.
Make sure you check out the training missions in the dojo as well – some of them reward you with locks of hair on first completion. The Way of The Warrior: Novice, which is the first one that isn’t a tutorial, will give you Samurai’s Locks this way.
Locks of hair locations in Beast Born of Smoke and Flames
You can get some Onmyo Mage’s Locks in a chest near the finala Kodama in the level. To get there, you should head into the fortress above the second shrine, through the passage on the right and up the long ladder in the far left corner. Follow the corridor to the end, then turn left and go up the ladder. Cross the plank on the left and follow the path to the next plank – you’ll see the chest with the locks of hair in front of you.
Dark Omens locks of hair locations
There are two locks of hair in this sub-mission. The first is a piece of Ninja’s Locks. It can be found under the temple. After you’ve cleared the defiled shrine below the temple, head left and under the building. You’ll find a corpse next to a cliff – loot it and you’ll get the hair.
The second is a piece of Onmyo Mage’s Locks. Go to the other side of the map and fight the cyclops. After you’ve defeated him, go up the stairs and clear the first room of enemies. There will be a dead body in the corner on the left, which is where you’ll find the second strand of hair.
We’ll keep playing the game, and we’ll update the guide with more locations as we discover them.
Nioh 2 doesn't pull any punches, so you might get stuck before you've even begun playing. We've written a guide to help you choose your starting weapon and guardian spirit, and another that shows how to reset skills if you invest in the wrong ones. Once you've dug in, you'll probably want to know how to unlock onmyo magic & ninja proficiency skills, or how to change and use Yokai Shift forms. Getting more skill points is always a priority, which is why we've written about locks of hair locations. If you're hunting rare soul cores, you'll probably want to know about the Mujina locations - finding them is tricky.
