Royal Fern in Nier Replicant

Royal Fern in Nier Replicant is a raw material that you’ll need in several instances, including the Tavern Keeper’s Grandmother quest. There are several ways to obtain Royal Fern, including in the wild and in a shop; however, none of them are immediately obvious. So, where do you find Royal Fern in this game? If you’re having trouble with this, then this guide is the right place for you.

How to Get Nier Replicant Royal Fern

To get Royal Fern in Nier Replicant, you can either purchase it from a specific vendor, or find it in the wild. When it comes to the latter, the Royal Fern can appear both in Northern Plains and Southern Plains. In the screenshots below, you’ll see the two locations where we found the fern in the south; however, you can absolutely find it in the north, too. Basically, just run around and vacuum every single sparkly thing you see on the ground. You’ll find quite enough fern, trust me.

Another option is to go to Seafront. To get to the town, you have to go through the southern gate of your village and all the way through Southern Plains. You can see where you need to go in the screenshots above. Once in Seafront, find the item shop, and you’ll be able to purchase Royal Fern for fairly little money. Last, and quite likely least, I’ve seen talk that you can maybe grow the plant on your farm, but we haven’t been able to check. Let us know in the comments if this is true.

So, that’s how you get Royal Fern in Nier Replicant. If you’re wondering what you need it for, well, it features in The Tavern Keeper’s Grandmother quest, among other things. That mission requires you to find and deliver three of these ferns. If you follow our instructions, you should have more than enough fairly quickly.
