Nier Replicant Place Blue & Red Books for Book Smarts Quest

Book Smarts quest in Nier Replicant is a small side quest that you can do in the village library, and it requires you to place a red book and a blue book on the correct shelves. The NPC gives you directions that are not super-clear, and the game doesn’t mark the right shelf until you come right next to it. All in all, it’s not too difficult, but no reason to lose too much time on such a trivial mission. With all that said, here’s our Nier Replicant Place Blue & Red Books for Book Smarts Quest guide to help you out.

Where to Place Red Book

To place the Red Book in the Nier Replicant Book Smarts quest, you need to go to the “second bookshelf from the left on the east side of the second floor.” That’s not terribly helpful, I agree, so here’s where you need to go. From the NPC that gives you the quest, head north, and then east. Go down the two flights of stairs, and the orange arrow should appear right next to the ladders going up the shelves. If you’re still not sure where you need to go, check out the screenshots below. Once you put the Red Book in the correct place, head back to the NPC.

Where to Place Blue Book

You place the Blue Book in the Nier Replicant Book Smarts quest, you have to go to the “third bookshelf from the right on the southern side of the first floor.” Where’s that? Well, find your way down to the ground floor, then face the front door of the library. Look to your left, and you’ll see two kids in the corner. Keep turning left until you see another set of ladders going up the shelves. You need to put the Blue Book on the first shelves to the right of said ladders. Again, check out the screenshots below if you need visual assistance. Once you place the Blue Book in the right place, return to the NPC to complete the quest and get your reward.
