Does Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands have crossplay? Being a Borderlands spin-off, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has a big focus on co-op play with up to three other players. And, of course, the most fun way to play co-op is with your friends. But, as is often the case, not all players game on the same platform. Borderlands fans were immensely disappointed with the fact that Borderlands 3 didn’t have crossplay on launch (which was later added, almost two years after the initial release). That’s why many are afraid that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands won’t feature cross-platform play as well. Here’s what we know about crossplay support in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

Does Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Have Crossplay?

We have good news – Gearbox Software has confirmed that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will feature crossplay from Day One. This means that there’s is cross-platform play across all platforms where Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be released. You can play with friends between PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store. As you can see from the list above, the cross-play works both across different platforms and different console generations. For example, if your friend plays Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands on his PS4, and you own the game on the Xbox Series X, you can still play together. The crossplay works both for playing with friends and with random people online.

The crossplay is made possible by SHiFT Matchmaking. All players will have an option to opt-in (or opt-out) from crossplay when they first start Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. At that moment, you will also be asked to create your Crossplay Display Name, regardless if you’ve enabled or disabled the crossplay feature. Your decision about crossplay and your name can be changed later if you wish so. This can be done via your account page on the SHiFT website or via the Social menu in the game’s main menu.

Does Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Have Cross-progression?

Unfortunately, things are less good in this department compared to crossplay. When it comes to cross-progression, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands does not support it. You can not transfer your progress from a PC to a console, or vice versa. You can play seamlessly between Xbox One and Xbox Series X. And when it comes to PS4 and PS5, you are allowed to transfer only one (1!) save file from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5. But, once transferred, the process cannot be reversed. This means that save file won’t be available on your PS4 anymore. So there you have it, that’s all you need to know about crossplay and cross-progression support in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
