SNES Classic Release Date & Full Games List Revealed
Nintendo has announced the release date of the SNES Classic Mini, as well as the list of games included. Players will be able to play 21 classic SNES games. Among other things, Nintendo fans will be able to play Star Fox 2 for the first time ever. Other games featured in the list are Super Mario World and Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, Super Metriod, Street Fighter II Turbo, and many more.
Nintendo started the first whispers about the SNES Classic Mini a while ago. Now, the follow-up of the somewhat notorious NES Classic Mini finally got a release date. The North American and European version will come out on September 29th, while the Japanese version will come out on October 5th. The price tag is $79.99, meaning it will have a smaller library than the NES Classic Mini for more money. However, the SNES Classic Mini will have two controllers, unlike the NES Classic, which came with only one.
Speaking of the NES Classic Mini, Nintendo has promised that they will up the production of the SNES Classic to avoid the rage-inducing shortages that plagued the NES Mini. They plan to produce the SNES Mini from launch day till the end of 2017 for now. Presumably, if demand is high, they will continue production into 2018.
The SNES Classic Mini will come with twenty-one well-known and beloved Super Nintendo games. There’s even a special bonus included. The SNES Classic Mini will see the premiere of the never-before-released Star Fox 2. You can check out the full list of games below.
