Finally, Nintendo has officially announced the release date of the SNES Classic Mini. It will launch on September 29th in Europe and North America. The Japanese edition will come out a little later, on October 5th. It will be called Nintendo Classic Mini Super Famicom, because both the NES and SNES were called Famicom in Japan. Unlike the drab gray-and-blue North American version, the Japanese SNES Classic Mini will look like the small version of the colorful Super Nintendo, same as in Europe.

The Japanese version, like all others, will include Star Fox 2, a game that has never been released before. It will feature 21 games, like the others, but the list isn’t the same. This version will include Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, Legend of the Mystical Ninja, Panel de Pon and Super Soccer.
