Shadow of the Colossus is a game to last through the ages; there’s no two ways about it. It’s thirteen years old, and yet, it still got another remake. The new generation of gamers definitely deserves to experience Shadow of the Colossus. The PS4 remake of the game is now out. It costs $39.99 for the Standard Version, and $49.99 for the Special Edition. The Special Edition includes a steelbook, postcards, a manual, some extra in-game items, two custom PS4 themes, stickers, a map, and a PS4 Colossi avatar set, according to the PlayStation website.

The new remake of Shadow of the Colossus has gotten glowing reviews across the board (including our own Shadow of the Colossus review), proving that the game has solidified its place in gaming history. And, if you still somehow don’t know what the game is all about, then the launch trailer should get you up to speed, without any spoilers. You can check it out below. If you’re completely in the dark, here’s the gist. You are a young, intrepid hero with a magic sword that has to slay giant monsters in order to save a damsel in distress. The most classic setup you can think of. However, much darker secrets lurk beneath the surface. This game is an absolute masterpiece, and, as far as I’m concerned, everybody should play it through at least once. Just to see what video games truly can be.
