Rocket League Halloween Event Features Stranger Things
Psyonix have revealed this year’s Halloween Event in Rocket League. It’s gonna feature Stranger Things pretty prominently. You can look forward to a host of cosmetic stuff based on the show, including banners, cars, hats, skins, rocket boosts, etc. Oh, and the Farmstead is going Upside Down. Who doesn’t want to play with the Mind Flayer above their heads? Get ready to get your spook on!
Now that we’re well and truly waist-deep in the month of Spooktober, live services have started announcing their respective Halloween events. And, naturally enough, Rocket League is one of them. In a post on the Rocket League website, the event, Haunted Hallows, will start on Monday, October 14th, and wrap up on November 11th, also a Monday. The event will include a special version of the Farmstead map, and a number of cosmetics to celebrate the occasion. And, this time around, it’s all gonna revolve around the small town of Hawkins, Indiana.
Yes, this year’s Halloween event in Rocket League will be all about Stranger Things. The Farmstead will be plunged into the Upside Down, with the gigantic Mind Flayer watching the proceedings above the pitch. The cosmetics will also carry this theme. There’ll be a neon-red rocket boost, a Scoops Ahoy avatar border, a Hawaiian Hopper decal, a Demogorgon title and banner, and much more. Or, as the post puts it: “The store will have autumn-inspired items, plus some top secret wares developed by the Hawkins National Laboratory that will turn your Battle-Car creations up to Eleven.” You can see all that in the trailer embedded below.
You’ll buy these cosmetics in the Haunted Hallows Event Store for Candy Corn. As usual, you’ll get the Candy Corn for playing matches, winning matches, all that good stuff. After the event wraps up, you’ll have a three-day redemption period to spend your Candy Corn as you wish. So, yeah, let’s play some soccer in the Upside Down!
