PS Plus free games for March 2017
It’s that time of the month when we overview the next batch of PS Plus games for their subscribers. Sony has a tendency to surprise, and some months are better than others, but in the end it all comes down to your personal preferences. This month it’s time for: Disc Jam (PS4), Tearaway Unfolded (PS4), Under Night: In-Birth (PS3), Earth Defense Force 2025 (PS3), Lumo (PS Vita, PS4), Severed (PS Vita).
Disc Jam (PS4) – It is always interesting to see a game coming out first on PS Plus. It did wonders for Rocket League, but it remains to be seen how Disc Jam will fare. It is a 3D person combination of air hockey and tennis and it features both local and online multiplayer.
Tearaway Unfolded (PS4) – This 2015 platform-adventure game was partially developed by Media Molecule, the team behind Little Big Planet. The gameplay makes use of environmental platform interaction and creativity in a world made of paper.
Under Night: In-Birth (PS3) – Something different here, it is a visual novel and a 2D fighting game in one. Definitely an interesting combo, but perhaps requires acquired taste.
Earth Defense Force 2025 (PS3) – A 3D person shooter from 2014 is here to remind you what it does best, with over seven hundred weapons at your disposal.
Lumo (PS Vita, PS4) – A call-back to isometric adventures of yore, Lumo sports cute characters, logical puzzles and intuitive controls.
Severed (PS Vita) – An action adventure for Vita also came out on iOS, Wii U and 3DS, makes use of touch screen controls to do a bit of dungeon crawling and enemy fighting.
The games will be available, as always, on the first Tuesday in the current month.
