PS Plus free games in April – not the greatest bunch
No big names in the next month for PS Plus subscribers, although there have been some rumours about Order 1886 being a part of this month’s free game offer. If that disappoints you, the game is still on the PS Store exclusives sale, so you can grab it for peanuts. April games list is as follows: 10 Second Ninja X (PS4, PS Vita), Curses ‘n’ Chaos (PS4, PS Vita), Drawn to Death (PS4), Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime (PS4), Alien Rage – Extended Edition (PS3), Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom (PS3).
Let’s start with the somewhat lackluster PS3 titles:
Alien Rage – Extended Edition is a bit of a run-of-the-mill first-person shooter from 2013, with linear levels and a variety of aliens.
Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom – this 2014 title is a part of the Invizimals augmented reality shows and games.
Moving on to greener pastures on PS4/Vita:
10 second Ninja X – a sequel/remake of 10 Second Ninja, a hardcore PC platformer.
Curses ‘n’ Chaos – a 2D arena brawler, with 2 player co-op, where you fight off waves of enemies.
Drawn to Death – finally something substantial, this third-person shooter in combination with a brawler arena multiplayer has a distinct hand-drawn visual style that will probably be its greatest selling point. It is new and fresh, with David Jaffe behind the wheel, who has worked on such games as Twisted Metal and God of War.
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime – a contender for the best-named game of the year, this couch co-op brings back the joys of sharing games with someone else in its crazy space world of ship-shooting.
The pickings seem a bit slim this month, however, with the above mentioned Playstation exclusives sale, it might just be that Sony has exerted itself too much this month. Still, they can do better!
