Predator Hunting Grounds Reveal Trailer Released

The Predator has been in and out of video games for a long while now. However, I don’t remember any in particular that has revolved around the creature directly. At best, it had to share the limelight with Alien in the AvP games. Other than that, the gaming industry kinda made him into a near-cameo character, like in Mortal Kombat X or DLC for Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Well, it seems that’s about to change. Enter Predator: Hunting Grounds.

From what the game’s page on the PlayStation website, Predator: Hunting Grounds is going to be an asymmetrical, one-vs-many multiplayer game. Some of you are going to play as the “elite fireteam” and “complete paramilitary operations before the Predator finds you.” One player will be the Predator, who’s gonna “hunt the most worthy prey, choosing from your vast array of deadly alien tech to collect your trophies, one by one.” So, yeah, it’s kinda Dead by Daylight, just with a thick coating of Predator.

Predator: Hunting Grounds doesn’t have a set release date at the time of writing. All we know is that we can expect to see it some time in 2020. Until then, or until more promo material is released, the reveal trailer below is all we have to go off. It’s a potentially fun concept, even if it’s been done before by the likes of the aforementioned Dead by Daylight, Evolve, Friday the 13th, and so on. Still, the pull of the IP is never to be ignored.
