After the recent release of Super Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Switch players can now purchase another highly-sought after game. Yes, Minecraft has now made its way to the new console, and it’s just one of the many ports and re-releases that will hit the Nintendo Switch in its first year. It comes with the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack included, so players will be able to explore and build in a Minecraft version of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Minecraft on the Switch is a digital download only, and it seems that it offers everything it does on the other platforms. You get the Creative and Survival mode, of course. If you want to play with friends, you can do so either in eight-player online multiplayer or in a four-player split screen mode. The whole package costs $29.99 on the Nintendo Switch eShop.

However, the dilemma that kinda presents itself is – is it worth it? of course, the same could be said for all Nintendo Switch ports, especially those that aren’t Nintendo IPs. Literally every bigger game that has come out on the Switch hasn’t been an exclusive. And with Minecraft, that has launched on every single piece of tech that comes with a screen, the question becomes even more prominent.

As some people have pointed out, $30 dollars for Minecraft does seem a bit steep, Super Mario pack notwithstanding. You absolutely can get it on any other platform known to mankind for less money. At the end of the day, the final decision is up to you. Feel free to share your opinions with us in the comments.
