New Ubisoft Transmedia Products For Far Cry 6
Ubisoft has announced that it is going to expand the line of Far Cry 6 related content with the addition of new transmedia products. Far Cry 6 is launching on October 7 worldwide, and Ubisoft has partnered with leading publishers to bring new content that is sure to enrich the vibrant world of Far Cry. Marie-Joëlle Paquin, Product Director on Far Cry, said: “It has been a real pleasure to collaborate on these books with such a talented group of creators and publishers. We’re extremely excited to provide our fans with the opportunity to further explore our very rich Far Cry universe.”
What Are The New Ubisoft Transmedia Products
This is a series of four books that will serve to flesh out Far Cry’s setting. These are:
- The Art of Far Cry 6. Dark Horse Books, in conjunction with Ubisoft Toronto, is bringing this oversized full-color book which features concept art, character designs, and similar visual content depicting the island of Yara. It will be available wherever books are sold on October 12th, 2021.
- Far Cry: Rite of Passage hardcover edition. A Dark Horse comic miniseries, the first issue is already out. Here, President Antón Castillo will recount the tales of three past Far Cry antagonists: Vaas Montenegro, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed, to his son Diego, who just turned 13. Written by Bryan Edward Hill, illustrated by Geraldo Borges, colored by Michael Atiyeh, and lettered by Comicraft, the hardcover edition will be released on November 30th, 2021.
- Far Cry: Esperanza’s Tears. This graphic novel stars Far Cry 6’s protagonist – Juan Cortez. Published by Glénat Editions, written by Mathieu Mariolle, and illustrated and colorized by Afif Khaled with the help of Salaheddine Basti, it is out November 2021.
- The Far Cry Survival Manual. Journalist Hunter Nash gives his tips and tricks on surviving the hostile territories of Rook Islands, the Montana’s Hope County, and the Republic of Yara. Published by Insight Editions, it arrives on September 21st, 2021.
