Mortal Kombat 11 August Update Adds New Brutalities & More

Indeed, NetherRealm Studios have released another huge update for Mortal Kombat 11, and there’s a ton of new stuff in it. We’re gonna fast-track through some of the more interesting stuff. For one, there’s several new brutalities that you’ll have to discover. Also, every character got a new Brutality victory pose. Also, they’ve nerfed Scorpion’s Hell Port. Now, you can counter it with a simple uppercut, which really dulls the bite of the attack. On the other hand, characters like Raiden, Kotal Kahn, Shao Kahn, and Kollector have gotten buffs, so that’s good news for those that main them.

Then, there are some quality of life improvements, which I think are gonna come in really handy. For example, they’ve added a Color Blindness mode to video options. You can choose between Protanope, Deuteranope, & Tritanope modes, which, I believe, covers the most common types of color blindness. The Krypt got more detailed “where to get” info for a number of items. All good stuff. To top it all off, a number of new rewards have been added for completing Towers, including the likes of the Johnny Cage announcer. In case you need even more snark in your life.

Now, as you might have gathered, the full list of changes and additions is way too long to cover it all here. If you want to see the whole thing, head over to WB_Will’s post on the Mortal Kombat subreddit. I’d recommend it especially if you’re interested in potential changes to a specific character that you might be maining.
