Ninja Theory’s narrative-driven action-adventure game, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, is an interesting experiment that paid off. The studio wanted to make a game of triple-A quality for a budget price. And, wouldn’t you know it, they absolutely succeeded. That’s just what Hellblade turned out to be: a triple-A experience, just shorter than what you’d expect from an AAA game. The game got excellent reviews, and sold pretty well, especially accounting for a limited marketing budget. In fact, it surpassed developers’ expectations by quite a bit. So far, the game has only been available on PC and PlayStation 4.

That’s about to change pretty soon, however. Ninja Theory has announced that they’re bringing Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice to Xbox One on their company Twitter account. It’ll be coming out on April 11th. It will also be enhanced for the Xbox One X, which is pretty good news for all of you that decided to upgrade. Additionally, if you pre-order the game, or buy Hellblade on Xbox in the first week on the Xbox Store, you’ll also get a 10% discount. Pre-orders are already up, incidentally. So, if you’re an Xbox gamer, you’ll finally get a shot at Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The full price will be $30, so whenever you buy it, you won’t exactly be breaking the bank. It’s well worth the money.

If you don’t know what Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is all about, let’s get you up to speed. The game is about a young woman who is trying to reach the underworld, in search for her murdered lover. However, she is mentally ill, and the boundaries of reality and hallucinations slowly start to fall apart the deeper she goes. It’s an amazing journey.
