Players of Friday the 13th are getting a new counselor with the next update, which comes out on December 18th on the PlayStation 4 and PC, and a bit later on Xbox One. The counselor in question is one that is pretty important in the Friday the 14th universe. It’s Shelly Finkelstein, the Jonah Hill-looking character from Friday the 13th Part 3.

If you’re not familiar with the character, let’s explain real quick. At one point in the movie, Shelly scares another counselor while wearing a hockey mask. Later on, he has a very unfortunate run-in with Jason, who then takes the hockey mask and completes his iconic look. And Finkelstein’s reveal video for Friday the 13th game, which you can check out below, plays out fairly similarly. Two counselors, AJ and Adam, are getting it on in one of the cabins, because Friday the 13th. There’s a knock on the door, and there’s Shelly with the mask, scaring the two. Then, Jason comes up behind, and it’s good night for Shelly.

Shelly Finkelstein won’t be the only thing arriving to the game with the upcoming patch, of course. For example, it’ll introduce offline bots, for those of us that don’t like to play with other people. The Max Level will increase from 101 to 150. Last, but not least, there’ll be some holiday events. These will include double CP, increased chances of getting a Rare or Epic perk, and more. For more details, check out the post on the game’s forum.
