Everspace Release Date Announced, Gameplay Trailer Revealed

Back in 2015, German developers Rockfish Games crowdfunded their new space shooter simulator called Everspace via Kickstarter. The campaign attracted a lot of attention, and the game ended up being the most-funded game from Germany. They continued the crowdfunding campaign on the website, managing to raise more than €670,000. Now, Everspace will exit Early Access and launch as a full game on May 26th.

The full version of the game will include some highly-demanded features that the early version doesn’t have. For one, it will include full VR support on Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Since it’s a space game, those with weaker stomachs should probably approach with caution. the full launch will also bring fully voice-acted cutscenes, missions and cinematic flashbacks to enhance the story experience. Last but not least is the full reworking of the game’s final section, which will have a whole new boss fight.

Rockfish have also released a teaser gameplay trailer. The video shows off how gorgeous the game is, as well as some intense-looking space fights and maneuvers. We also get to see the action from several different camera angles. You can check the trailer out for yourself below.

Come May 26th, you’ll be able to get Everspace on many different platforms. As far as the PC goes, you’ll be able to get it on Steam, GOG.com, the Windows Store and NVIDIA GeForce Now. It’ll also launch on the Xbox on the same date. The PlayStation 4 release should happen some time later in the year.
