December 2017 Video Games Releases - Xenoblade Chronicles 2 & More
There’s a good number of different video game releases in December 2017. This includes full games, DLCs, expansions, games coming to consoles they weren’t on before, etc. We can look forward to Xenoblade Chronicles 2, DOOM VFR, FFXV Episode Ignis, Curse of Osiris in Destiny 2, and a lot more.
December 2017 is shaping up to be pretty loaded, game-wise. While there isn’t that much in terms of full launches, there’s ton of DLCs, remasters, and new versions of games coming to various platforms. Well, we’re going to list some of them below. We’re only going to include the titles that have set release dates. There will be more to come, no doubt.
First off, on December 1st, we’re looking at the launch of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the Nintendo Switch and DOOM VFR on PS4 VR and HTC Vive. DOOM is basically a VR version of the 2016 title. The only major difference is movement through teleportation. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is an adventure RPG, where you journey to the land of Elysium, the ultimate paradise. You play as Rex, and his friend Pyra. Then, on December 5th, we’ll be getting Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris (PS4, Xbox One, PC), Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package on the PlayStation 4, and Walking Dead: Telltale Series Collection (PS4, Xbox One). Dead Rising 4 basically brings the entire game to PS4. Curse of Osiris, on the other hand, is a full-on expansion, with a ton of new things.
DEcember 9th will bring about the Monster Hunter World beta on PlayStation 4 (PS Plus required). On December 12th, we can look forward to Fallout VR (coming to Windows PC), Okami HD (PC, Xbox One, PS4), and Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds entering the Xbox Game Preview program. For horror fans, there’s two Resident Evil 7 DLCs coming out: End of Zoe and Not a Hero. Not a Hero, where you play as Chris Redfield, will be free, while End of Zoe is part of the season pass. Lastly, on December 13, there’s Final Fantasy XV Episode Ignis (PS4, Xbox One) and Battlefront 2 The Last Jedi Season (PC, PS4, Xbox One). Episode Ignis will focus on my personal favorite character in FFXV, so I’m looking forward to that. Battlefront 2 Last Jedi will introduce more stuff from the upcoming movie to this game. This includes maps, starships and characters (Finn and Captain Phasma).
